سريال دوستان يكي از موفقترين سيت كامهاي دهه نود ميلادي است به طوري كه با پايان آخرين اپيزود از آخرين فصل اين سريال گويي نسل اين گونه سريالها پايان يافت.

اين سريال توسط كمپاني برادران وارنر ساخته شد و از كانال NBC از 22 سپتامبر 1994 تا 6 مي 2004 پخش شد.

سيت كام همون كمدي موقعيته "Situation Comedy" كه به اختصار Sitcom گفته ميشه. كمدي كه بر اساس مكانهايي مثل منزل، محل كار، رستوران و ... تهيه و اجرا ميشه و با كمدي استوديويي فرق ميكنه.
